Blueland
packaging design
As part of the small team at MTWO Design, I designed packaging for Blueland, a sustainable cleaning and home goods brand.
My designs included packaging for home cleaning tablets, powders, and sprays. These containers are reusable and refillable, and designed to last a long time.
These products are currently on the market.

SPRAY BOTTLE REDESIGN
Old Bottle: Iconic design, but broke easily, expensive to produce, used more material than necessary.
New Bottle: Same iconic silhouette, more durable, cheaper to produce, more comfortable grip.
IDEATION
Bottle and Neck Shape
We explored the idea of changing the bottle, but eventually landed on keeping the iconic original shape, but using a single part mold.
Neck Shape
Playing with the shape of the connecting piece between the nozzle head and the bottle.
Spray Head
Making the head of the nozzle more comfortable to grip using subtle changes in the surfacing of the spray nozzle.
Color and Fill Line
The product comes in three formulas distinguished by color. We iterated on how the color would be applied to the product.
We also needed to indicate a fill line for the user to add water to the bottle before they drop in the tablet.
LAUNDRY TINS
Set of two tins, one to hold tablets and the other to hold and dispense powder in a specific dosage.
Dispensing Mechanism in the Lid
The lid has a cavity sized to exact dosage of powder.
Made from molded tin in two parts.
Lid Insert Shape Ideations
The shape of the insert on top of the tin makes it easy to dispense the right amount of product without dumping a pile of powder into your hand. The insert also makes it easy to refill the tin without having to remove the insert, avoiding any mess.
Refillable Dish Soap Powder Dispenser
Custom Silicone Molded in two pieces. Holds powdered dish soap. Tilt to dispense powder. Soft silicone material allows for easy grip with slippery hands.
Dishwashing Tablet Tin
Refillable tin design reflects the pill shape of the dishwasher tablet. The tin holds 1.5 refill packs worth of tablets.
Primary blue color, double walled lid with logo embossed
